How To Use a Blog
Blogs are a great resource for teachers to use in the classroom. It allows teachers to interact with parents and let them know what is going on in the classroom. This is a big issue that parents have a problem with because they feel like they don't have a lot of knowledge of what their kids are doing while they are at school. Blogs are a great way for teachers to communicate with parents so that you know they are getting the information without having to depend on the students to relay the information because sometimes students misplace the information or papers that they are supposed to take home and give to their parents. I plan on using blogs in my classroom as a tool to keep my students parents up to date on what we are doing in my classroom so they feel like they are welcomed and no as just an outsider. The following link is a video on how to use a blog step by step. I would highly recommend taking some time to watch the video and try your best to implement blogs into your classroom. It will make communicating with parents so much easier.
